Career Exploration

DEPCO's Career Concepts TLUs allow students to identify, explore, and discover specific career areas that are compatible with individual capabilities and preferences. The opportunity to spend quality time in different career areas aids students in selecting courses for high school and discovering their appropriate career path.

Transition to High School

All Career Concepts TLUs cover basic technological fundamentals, while building a dependable foundation of acquired and target-specific knowledge that is used later on in DEPCO's Career Experiences program. Career Concepts TLUs, alone or in conjunction with Career Experiences, act as a solid platform from which students build a bridge to successful learning.

Career Areas

DEPCO's Career Concepts lab introduces middle school students to a wide variety of level one applied technology subjects in career areas such as AgriScience, Communication, Construction, Engineering, Family and Consumer Sciences, Graphics, Manufacturing, Science, and much more!
Students are exposed and encouraged to analyze all components, which make up each career area. This investigative process provides enlightenment and guidance as students begin contemplating possible career options for the future.

Tools Not Toys

DEPCO, LLC believes so strongly in providing students with tools, not toys, that we guarantee real-world experience by supplying real equipment along with current industry-standard tools, machinery, and software to every Career Concepts TLU. All equipment is carefully selected according to relevance, reliability, and promises to excite students across the board.

Hands-On Curriculum

Career Concepts' curriculum, with its guided procedures and appropriate level text was developed with the middle school student in mind. The hands-on activities are fun and challenging but not too complex, so students stay engaged and on task. In addition, the integration of academic subject matter, such as math and science, provides the foundation to increase student awareness.
